Remodeling Your Swimming Pool and/or Spa
Commerical and Residential pool remodeling includes everything from a simple replastering to complete replumbing of the pool.
- Acid Wash:
An acid wash is typically performed to “brighten” the plaster finish. The acid wash procedure actually removes a small amount of plaster, exposing the fresher cleaner plaster underneath. The process typically removes embedded organic and mineral stains. Note, however, that since plaster is actually being removed, there is a finite limit to the number of acid washes that be performed. A telltale sign of too many acid washes is a very rough finish.
- Pool/Spa replaster:
The most common interior surface here in South Florida is Diamond Brite ™: Diamond Brite is a brand name for quartz aggregate finish. This is a mixture of quartz crystals with fortified Portland cement to produce a stain-resistant , durable and longer lasting finish. A quality quartz finish should last 10-15 years with proper care.
- Tile installation:
Including perimeter tile, gutter and overflow gutter tiles, step tiles, depth and NO Dive marker tiles.
- Coping bricks/blocks
