Hi! This is Jim here with my first ever Pool Talk. I am glad that for this first talk that I have some very important news to share with you. President Bush signed the Virginia Graeme Baker Act into law in December 2007. This law applies to all public pools and spas to prevent drowning and/or entrapment and goes into effect December 19, 2008. What does this mean to you? If you are the operator of a public pool and/or spa then your pool/spa must be fitted with a new main drain grate or cover. You must also reduce any possible entrapment due to having a direct pump suction drainage system. By December 19, 2008 you must have or had installed a Safety Vacuum Release System in accordance with the new law and or have a drain disablement system installed (Florida only). You have up to 120 days to complete the new law's requirements. Please fill out the form below to download my FREE eBook to get all of the details of the Virginia Graeme Baker Act and discover how it will affect you. This is necessary read if you are an owner and or operator of a public pool or spa.
